Register for a Backyard Resilience Workshop
The Backyard Resilience workshop is for anyone with a backyard.
Whether it’s a courtyard or a rambling section, you’ll go home ready create an edible and biodiverse haven.
Take inspiration from examples in the Botanic Gardens and then work alongside Landscape Architects to create a bespoke plan for your space.
No gardening experience is necessary.
All proceeds from this workshop will go back into The Green Lab’s community greening projects.
Sessions: Saturday 24 August.
Time: 1.30pm – 4.30pm

With Landscape Architects Bridget Allen, Nathan Campbell and Anna O’Sullivan, this workshop focuses on creating edible landscapes, increasing biodiversity and choosing the right plants based on soil type and location; you will then put your ideas into action as we guide you through the process of garden design.
You will be asked to supply us with the address of your garden at the booking stage; we will print off a plan view of your property, accessed from the public domain, Canterbury Maps. (Your address information will not be held).
You will take away inspiration, a custom design for you to action in your own backyard and a list of go-to organisations and projects for you to seek out and continue your learning.
