Pop in for a Pod Chat! Our Green Connection Pod was designed to get people talking. It is a flatpack, circular wooden seating area, enveloped by greenery; it’s a great space to have a kōrero.

The Pod is currently in The Welder – 22 Welles St, next to our pop up co-working space, understorey.

Pod-Chats are back! This year for Mental Health Awareness week, we have four wonderful volunteers, Olly (they/them), Kahu (she/her), Graham (he/him), and Manawa (she/her) hosting lunch time drop sessions in the pod.

Between 11am-1pm Tuesday 27 – Friday 30 September, you can join them in the pod to connect and kōrero. They each bring their different interests and life experiences to the pod, and they hope you will do the same.

Taking time to kōrero is great for mental health. This is part of our ongoing efforts to connect like-minded folk in Ōtautahi.

Accessibility notes:
  • Under new guidance, you do not have to wear a mask, but we support you if you would like to, and support our hosts choices as well.
  • The Welder is wheelchair accessible and has gender neutral & accessible toilets.
  • There is some free parking on the street, or paid parking on site.
  • The Pod itself was designed so a wheelchair could join the conversation in the entryway – there is a small lip to get into the pod if you wanted to go further in, but it would be a tight turning circle.

Please note: Our Pod-Chat hosts are volunteering and as such are not offering therapeutic or health services. Their views may not necessarily match that of The Green Lab.
